Director of Human Resources

This position is for a Director, Human Resources who will be the company leader for developing, managing, and ensuring all HR programs align with business goals and are oriented around building and sustaining a high performance workforce. You will manage and advise on all HR policies and programs including talent recruitment and retention, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, corporate leadership, and performance management.  Brain Corp’s ideal candidate will have hands-on experience scaling a fast growing, high-tech organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations functions of the Human Resources department ensuring practice standards, compliance with employment laws, policies and company procedures.
  • Partner with senior management to identify and execute the strategic goals of the business and align these with actionable people plans.
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, and employee relations and retention.
  • Build a “best place to work” culture that attracts and retains the best and the brightest.
  • Develop and perform the organizational review process that evaluates structure, job specifications, and headcount forecasting throughout the company.
  • Drive recruiting, applicant tracking, new hire onboarding, and employee exits.
  • Influence, educate and coach executives on change management initiatives around new products and growth programs.
  • Solve simple to complex HR problems, identify trends early, map out solutions, and execute against the best solutions for the business.
  • Manage immigration processes including Visa and PERM administration.
  • Facilitate new employee and outside consultants on-boarding process.
  • Embody, promote and teach Brain Corporation’s company vision, values and culture.
  • Forecast and manage the Human Resources budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on collaborative HR business partner experience in a high tech environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple disciplines: employee relations, compensation, benefits, immigration, organizational effectiveness, performance management, training, employment practices, and staffing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate and influence at a senior management level.
  • Ability to attract and support the best robot talent in the world.
  • Knowledge of immigration visa process.
  • Comfortable accepting rapid changes in direction and priorities, and displays an even temper in conflict situations.
  • Current U.S. work authorization.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Current or recent experience in fast paced, high-growth technology startups.
  • Experience with Jazz recruitment software.
  • Experience with TriNet PEO.

Travel

  • Limited travel will be required (<10%).
