Robotic Software Engineer / Scientist II

EMMA, our advanced A.I. navigation system is capable of operating existing equipment fully autonomously in complex indoor environments.

This position is for a Robotic Software Engineer / Scientist who will focus on deploying, maintaining, and improving EMMA and our mobile robotic products.


  • Maintain and increase quality and robustness of EMMA, our proprietary indoor navigation software (on-site duty).
  • Adapt and seamlessly integrate our proprietary indoor navigation software into new equipment.
  • Develop next generation indoor navigation capabilities and expand existing functionalities.
  • Implement cutting edge indoor navigation technologies in new applications and customer environments.
  • Work together with a world-class talented group of SW & HW engineers, roboticists and AI scientist.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in robotics, especially in one of the following areas:
    • Sensor filtering and fusion
    • Simultaneous localization and mapping
    • Motion planning
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of sensors used in robotics, including cameras (RGB and Depth), LIDARs, IMUs and Sonars.
  • Experience designing and developing robotic systems using a robotic middleware (such as ROS), and existing libraries and tools.
  • Experience with simulation environments.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Experience taking software deliverables from prototype to production (including designing for scale, authoring test plans, coordinating deployments with operations).
  • Experience with continuous integration, deployment and release management tools.
  • Experience in autonomous driving is a strong plus.
  • Experience with machine learning and image processing libraries.
  • Experience with continuous integration, deployment and release management tools.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodology.


  • Advanced Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field. (Masters or PhD).
  • 2+ years robotic experience (professional/commercial experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills.
  • Intermediate to expert level in programming experience in Python and C++ in Linux environment.
  • Proven system integration and software architecture skills.
  • Solid working understanding of coordinate transformations and kinematics.
  • Current U.S. work authorization.


  • Domestic travel may be required (<25%).
