Technical Operations Manager

Brain Corporation is a San Diego-based AI company that specializes in the development of self-driving technology. Our AI tech represents the next generation of artificial brains for robots - it enables machines to perceive, learn, and navigate complex environments, while avoiding people and obstacles. We partner with commercial equipment manufacturers, and global consumer electronics brands, to transform their products into self-driving robots.

The Technical Operations Manager will be responsible for providing technical support to partners and customers that develop against Brain’s APIs. As part of the BrainOS Services team, this individual is critical to ensuring that customers both internal and external can integrate smoothly with the APIs we offer. Additionally, this individual will support the technical operations of our fleet of robots whenever issues bubble up to the services level.

Task & Responsibilities

  • Field support queries from customers and report on cloud services issues to stakeholders
  • Contribute operational perspective to release and pre-launch planning
  • Communicate capabilities and constraints of our cloud-based systems to customers
  • Work with internal teams to build a support structure to provide 24/7 top-tier support
  • Advocate for the needs of developers utilizing our services
  • Work directly with software engineers and technical teams to resolve customer issues

What you need

  • 7+ years experience, including managing technical teams
  • B.S. in IS/IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with system administration, network engineering, or software engineering

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between developers, users, managers, and executives
  • Familiarity with REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure

This position is located in our San Diego headquarters and reports to VP of Engineering & AI.
